community helpers

This week we learned about fire safety from some of our community helpers; the Westford fire department. First we read a nonfiction book about community helpers and discussed the many different ways we are supported in our larger community. 

Then with the help of Eleanor's dad, Chris, the children learned about the importance of developing a family plan and making safe choices. They observed gear and the truck and asked thoughtful questions. It was a morning rich with connection and building awareness!
