our learning celebration!

On Friday, March 18th, children and families celebrated the growth and learning of the Kindergartners. Children walked their families around our classroom, talking about the different spaces and materials. Then they used our checklist to guide their student-led conference; read my book, read my writing, play a (math) game.

During conferences siblings explored the classroom, too! They worked with magnets on the rug, held on to their own clipboard, and even used sticky notes to add labels to structures they built. 

At the end of each conference Ms. Celeste checked in with children and families about their recent reading goals and how we will work on our goals. 

Before leaving the classroom families could add to a community block structure; we all have a place here.
